It's always such a treat to get wines in from Kiwi-born Tom Lubbe at Matassa, who farms 15 hectares of vines in and around Calce and Fenouillèdes in the South of France.
Old vine Carignan (between 90-110 years old) sees eight days whole bunch fermentation, prior to a year's maturation in neutral oak. Stunning.
