Vintage Reserve Chardonnay white wine by Pierro 2021

Pierro is world famous for its top quality wines produced in our local WA award winning Margaret River Region using organic and low carbon footprint methods.

"The thing is with wine you only have one chance each year to refine and improve what you do.This also demands a careful balance between tradition and change. So it can take many years to build a body of knowledge. I first made Chardonnay in 1980 and I hope this wine expresses the 40 years of accumulated experience and heritage. We have matured this wine for 4 years in bottle for you and it is ready to drink now. It will also continue to age gracefully for a further 6 years if cellared in cool conditions at 14-16 degrees." - Mike Peterkin

'Mike Peterkin holds back a little of his chardonnay each year for this vintage reserve release. It means you are forced to keep your hands off it until release. It was a vintage that suited chardonnays, and this is a cracker. It’s quite fine and delicate and only just starting to show traces of development with a roasted cashew and light toasty character combining on the nose. The palate reveals rich flavours held with a fine savoury acidity. Lively and expressive. Still with time ahead of it.' 97/100 - Ray Jordan - Ray Jordan Wine Review
