The first Wynns red blend (then labelled Cabernet 'Hermitage') was planted in 1969, bestowing Wynns with a long history of this traditional Australian style of wine. The famous red stripe on the label reflects Coonawarra’s distinctive terra rossa strip, acknowledged as some of the best viticultural soil in the world.
Blending these three classic red varieties creates a versatile wine suited to many occasions. Soft fruit and gentle oak handling have created a wine perfect for current drinking or short term cellaring.
