LS Merchants #470 Syrah red wine was produced in WA's local award winning Margaret River Region. Favouring minimal intervention and a back to basics approach to create boutique high quality wines.
This is a unique wine, made exclusively from clone 470 which originates from Garonne, France. It is a late-ripening clone with open clusters, producing wines that are aromatic and full-bodied with high acidity and good tannic structure. It is an extremely popular clone most widely planted in Hermitage.
Concentrated and dark fruited with plum, black olive and a touch of saline minerality. This wine is a serious banger, to drink now and over the next 20 years, it has some serious weight and depth.
