Paul Nelson Karriview Chardonnay 2019
A beautiful blend of old school charm and new world flamboyance. The brioche and cashew notes on the nose are further enhanced on the palate with toasted oak and malolactic influences. The palate while generous and medium bodied has the natural acid hallmarks of Karrivew Vineyard. The acid profile is saline, oystershell and granitic. It tightens up the wine through the mid palate and delivers a long and lingering finish. The flavours evolve in the glass over time and the initial restraint opens up to deliver a wine that is elegant and ethereal. This wine while drinking superbly now will cellar for another 15-20 years.
