Flowstone Sauvignon Blanc 2023 has been awarded 95 points rated by Ray Jordan. Flowstone has also been awarded a 5 star winery rated by James Halliday Wine Companion.
Aroma: Punchy guava with white flesh nectarine, and a hint of passionfruit pulp lift from the glass. There is an underlying lime zest note that helps to support these exotic characters. Citrus and subtle creamy elements help to complex the wine. This is a multi-layered, and engaging nose.
Palate: Ripe nectarines, guava, some flinty highlights, with a lime zest finish. The palate has wonderful textures, while retaining a juiciness of fruit and lightness. There is great intensity of fruit, and fantastic length of flavour. The wine finished with a chalky mineral acidity, but subtle fruit flavours linger with this cleansing finale. The length of palate is the real key here - this is a Sauvignon Blanc that can be ruminated upon, but also just enjoyed.
This Margaret River white wine can be drink now until over the next 10 years.
